Vegas comes to Hollywood

NBC's "Las Vegas" isn't the only show to shoot in Hollywood rather than in Las Vegas. While the TV series has started up shooting the new season in its giant casino set on the Culver City studio stages, on July 25, "Ocean's 13" will have its Las Vegas-like casino filming on Stage 16 at WB, and Jerry Weintraub says the film will also use five other stages on the Burbank lot.

The first cast members to work will be Matt Damon and Ellen Barkin. New father Brad Pitt is skedded to soon follow along with the new member Al Pacino plus returnees, including George Clooney, Andy Garcia, Don Cheadle, Bernie Mac, Casey Affleck, Scott Caan, Eddie Jemison, Elliott Gould and Carl Reiner.

Reiner has just turned in to Paramount his own screenplay for the animated version of his book, "Tell Me a Scary Story -- But Not Too Scary." Although the majority of the film will be on the WB stages, five days location shooting will be   again at the Bellagio Hotel in Vegas, also a few days in Cuernavaca, Mexico. Steven Soderbergh again directs the merry men.
