10 Is Angie Finally Unveiled?

"They sat on the story for two years," Angie Dickinson tells me of the Jan. 2008 Vanity Fair article, "A Legend With Legs" by Sam Kashner.

"I guess it didn't fit anywhere," she says modestly, adding, portions had to be re-written or edited as her daughter, Nikki Bacharach, 40,  committed suicide Jan. 4, 2007. And now, Angie says she will write her book. She had started the original autobiog per the urging of super-agent Irving "Swifty" Lazar in 1992. But she returned the publisher's advance and will not divulge any of the material she has retained. We, of course know what that might have been -- her relationship -- if any --with President Kennedy. As for the new book, she says it will be "mostly about Nikki -- if I have the intestinal fortitude."

She tells of some of that heartache in the Vanity Fair article. Aso revealed is her long relationship with Frank Sinatra. She still plays poker with the group which includes Barbara Sinatra. They met regularly for years at the Sinatra house at the Beach but Frank rarely joined the players who included Veronique and Gregory Peck. Veronique is still a player. 

Angie says she has not yet (as of today) heard from either ot the two ladies about the article in Vanity Fair but she worries if they will be "upset." But, she allows of the article, "It will be forgoten  very soon." But not Angie.
