Before Tiger Woods

Elder_leeThe win by Tiger Woods today at the U.S. Open reminds me of an article in Sports Illustrated about Lee Elder, "The Courage of Lee Elder."

He was the first African-American to be invited to compete in the Masters in Augusta, Ga. Elder will soon tee off in his 6,000th round as a professional golfer. And with Woods' latest win, maybe now there will be some renewed interest in a biopic on Elder.
